:( I'm Really Dissapointed by your Response Andy; about making Not MORE, Italian Infantry, and M-13/40 Tank, and other Armor! Like I mentioned Previously, in the Past ; that the Italians who fought in N. Africa , hasn't done their Greatest, efforts in Combat, but they have Fought and tried their best, according to their Standards, in N. Africa! I feel that this Decision , Not to Make these WW2 Sets , would create a Set-Back for ALL WW2 Collectors, who indulge in the N. African Campaign! I know these would Sell Vigorously in the Toy Market! These Italians, have never before been done by Any Previous Toy Company in the Past , as far as I've been Collecting for35-Years! They belong in this Campaign, along with the British, Aussie's, Germans, and French! CIAO!

I may be way off here, but, I suspect the 3 Italian Blackshirts that have recently come out, are in a direct response to your requests John, in much the same way as I suspect the new captured T-34 is directly as a result of Dougs (Combat) suggestions.

As I say, could be wrong, but I suspect not.
And having a set or piece made specifically as a result of one person's desire is pretty neat.

I was thinking the same thing - I believe we have got a lot things out there right now and coming up that have been on everyones list for a long time.

You have to give Andy credit - he listens to his customers. :)

John,

I'm still new to this game, but I think we just need to be really patient. I know Andy said the M13/40 isn't in the cards right now, but I do think he will make it one day. It was a big part of the campaign in North Africa and you are not the only collector that is hoping for it. In the meantime, it sounds like we will continue to get other very cool releases. They have done some really neat stuff for the AK series, including the camel corps figures.

Dan

I also think as the NA theatre is very popular and growing,Andy will at some point probably make some more Blackshirts.

John I think you made clear point why the Italian Sets should be made. I don't think they will be made in the near future, but you gave it your best shot.
Who knows some other company make look at this and see the need.

Do you guys think Italian figures are that popular?.When you think of North Africa your average Joe does tend to think of Eigth Army and Afrika Corps.Maybe they just don't sell well?.

Rob

I think we should all calm down and wait to see what Andy has coming out next. He said there would be an AK release soon. So lets wait and see - I will tell you he is burying me with all these releases anyway.

John

I think you underestimate yourself, there has been a sustained lobby for N Africa stuff, and you are the master.

Andy can only do so much at a time though and the nature of the beast is he can't please everyone all the time. I genuinely appreciate your thoughts and suggestions - maybe we can thrash out the favourites ourselves here then lobby say once every six months or a year to let Andy catch his breath?

Like the others, I credit 'your blackshirts', if Andy will excuse the expression.

Sorry, but I do not think the Italian Black Shirts will be a big seller....Unless there are some very exceptional poses or detail I would probably not add these to my North Africa collection.........

I believe that problem was solved by combining them with the Panzer II.
