Hello All, Here are some of my favorite pictures from today's air show here in Tucson, AZ. Had a blast with my lovely wife at the show. The P-51 and the B-25 were the highlight of the show, even though the A-10 Warthog was a blast to get up close and see inside and talk to one of the actual pilots that fly here in Tucson. (Jason wish you could have been there!).....Sammy

Here you go Jason, this one's for you, looking right down the barrel

Myself checking out the cockpit of the A-10 Warthog, unbelievable instrument panel

Most expensive plane on the lot, the B-1 Bomber (The Dark Knight)

My favorite plane of all, the P-51 Mustang!! It's also the same one that was flown during the show, just beautiful!

B-17 Bomber, The Sentimental Journey, got to love the art work

I have a few more that I will upload tomorrow, stay tuned.....Sammy

Amazing photos, Sammy!^&cool^&cool I especially love the shots of the B17 Sentimental Journey, as I have a vintage K&C 1:32 scale wood version of the Sentimental Journey in my collection, and it was very cool to see the real McCoy!:smile2:

You know Louis I thought I had heard of that name on the forum before!!! I tried contacting Andy about it but message box is full, the plane is on permanent display here at the Tucson air/space museum...Sammy

Here's a shot with the K&C Sentimental Journey in it. I will try to take and post a better photo of the entire plane later.:smile2:

The pics do it no justice Louis, it is truly a magnificant plane, and to stand under the wings and look at the size of this beauty is awe inspiring, I can only imagine how proud you are of your Grandfathers work that he put into his B-17, and I notice your purple heart in your photo that you posted near your model plane, much to be proud of, you should bring the family out for a vacation and check out the whole meusum, lots of great planes there, or you could bring the NY Symposium here to Tucson!!!!:) don't forget to post the close ups of your plane...Sammy

Hi Sammy,

When we lived in Sierra Vista we hit that show and the museum several times! Great to see some photos of a place I know. We almost got station at DM a few years ago but some other lucky family ended up with that assignment while we came to Poland maybe when we leave here it will be offered again.

Don't know about Poland Dave, but hope you didn't get the short end of that stick??? :)DM is a great facility and hope you do get a chance to be assigned there in the future, as tucson has lots of things to do and see, if nothing else ya know you can golf/ swim most all year long ;)...Sammy
