Does anyone know anything about Shenandoah Miniatures?
As far as I can gather, they are a cottage-industry outfit in Australia that make, locally, figures of the American Civil War,
and seem to produce in classic gloss finish. Is this right?
And does anyone have them? If so, a subjective description would be great!
Thanks,

Remember the Australian dollar is worth about $.68 US dollar when you look at the prices.
Mark.

Shenandoah is an Australian company that makes castings and gloss figures from the American Civil War.

They are very nicely sculpted and painted in traditional gloss toy soldier finish.

I'm not sure if they are still in production, his website is dated 2001, and I haven't head from Paul Clarke, the owner, in many years. I have assembled and painted hundreds of they for local collectors in the past 20 years, and still have many in my collection, and still awaiting a lick of paint.

You can see much of my work here : http://members.upnaway.com/~obees/soldiers/civilwar.htm

Here are some examples of the vignettes

If you want any more info, let me know, or even if you want castings as I may be able to supply some. I also have a printed catalogue.

Obee, you always post photos of your work for other collectors and places you've been, but you never post any photos of your Napoleon collection. You must have a huge battlefield. Can you post some pics?

OK,

here's quick shot of what I've been doing over the past couple of months for myself ... but to see the whole collection, that will take a whole new thread :)

Thanks to everyone for the leads! I've been following up on the suggested sites. Shenandoah's Facebook site has some gorgeous
dioramas.

And Obee, your painted work is wonderful! Among my favorites that you posted here are the Zouaves.
