Dogs would augment some sets nicely. Dachsunds for pilots, Shepards for troopers.

Wo ist mein Hund?

I'd like to see some German 'chain dogs' with Alsations.Dragon did a great 1/6 scale figure of one of these and i'm sure K&C's version would be cool.

The more dogs/hounds and or CoPilots as I refer to them the better. They add a very human/humane element to the battlefront. Finally, no Squadron/aircrew is complete without a dog(s)!

For example the dog from Dambusters although we won't mention its name.

I love when Andy does figures of dogs. One of the "First of the Few" RAF pilots has a Jack Russell Terrier in his arms, he did a Hong Kong Police Officer with an Alsatian, who could ever forget YA01 (the Battle of the Bulge G.I. cooking a sausage and sharing it with his pup) and, most recently, a British Bull Dog with his D-Day Beachmaster set. After his visit to my home, maybe he will do a Finnish Spitz as some soldier's pet.

Hi

A month or so ago their was an article in the paper about that very subject,
regarding what name they will use in the remake of the movie.I guess
we will have to wait and see.

Looking forward to that movie a lot.

Rob

Hey thanks for the link. Will look out for that as it sounds good.

I have that Dragon (not for long hopefully) figure and the smell of the rubbery stuff the dogs made from sends my (wifes) Cairn terrier nuts. Thank god metal and cold cast don't have the same effect. It's me or the dog dear!:p

Yeah i've been selling off some Dragon figures to fund my trip to the show on the 31st,funny how one hobby comes along and ends another!

here is a little more info on the dambusters remake from todays paper,
http://www.stuff.co.nz/3995333a1860.html .mostly filmed in my home
town so with a bit of luck I might get too see a lancaster. The new york set for king Kong was about 5 minutes from where I live and you get get a good view of it until filming actualy started. Also helms deep in the 2 towers although that was a lot more secretive.

Thanks again for that.I was pleased and interested to see that Stephen Fry is writing the script,he is very talented and hopefully make a good job of it.I think this is a film to look forward to.Your vey lucky to live near where its being filmed, get that camera ready!!

Rob

Great stuff! I hope this film is as well written as "12 O'clock High" (one of my all time favorite war movies). I am reading a book about Jimmy Stewart's career as a bomber pilot, and have Jimmy Doolittle's autobiography "I Could Never Be So Lucky Again" in the on deck circle. As you can see, the recent warbirds release (and all the inside information about upcoming warbird releases) have really whetted my appetite for air war related information.

I,m sure they will do a good job,Peter jackson I believe is
a big military aviation fan [collects ww 1 model planes].
Now its just playing the waiting game,If they post any more
info on either film I will post it here.
I guess Louis if it stirs up more interest in aircrews etc it
will increase your chances of K and C going heavily into
ground crews etc.
