Not to take away from her physical courage, but it's not a "huge" bear. It's relatively small, probably a juvenile. This video is making the rounds of the Internet, frequently accompanied by stock photos of adult Kodiak bears.

the little ones are probably her pups I'm guessing...
so she's big enough to me...
and I think bears are especially protective of their own young...
