A very kind gentleman on Saturday gave me two spanking new Britain's catalogues to take home and peruse. On doing so I folded like the cheapest deck chair on the Titanic and ordered the first section of WW1 Trench and two figure sets and also the brand new ACW little Round Top rocks and a Union figure. I will be putting the Trench scene (I'll be adding the other sections) into a cabinet and that is where the WW1 figures will ' live' , but will be making a dio for them that won't feature trench.

My loooooong term goal is to also make a Little Round Top dio when I've built up enough forces, so in the meantime my meager forces will gather round the rocks also in the cabinet. Pics as soon as they arrive:salute::

Do like their Zulu range Simmo, but I'll have to stick with WW1/ACW as money on goes so far.:(

Cheers

Yes Pete I did! I blame UkReb myself, his dio work has helped fuel my interest in the ACW to the point I'm ordering Little Round Top ' rocks' :salute::

As for WW1, I blame my school for that one, they took me to the Somme in 1979 and I was hooked!

So you see guys none of this is my fault!^&grin:wink2:

I have had to remain strong, so many great series from WB. I really am torn though as I would love to get into WW1

The Zulu range is taking all my cash at the moment, that along with my model railway.

What about the RAF crew and bomber tail section? I have not seen one yet but it does look nice. Kinda got your name written all over it!

Same here the WW1 and ACW are my favorite Britains sets. Don't think anyone can go wrong with these.

Yes both are terrific ranges, Birtain's ACW has a long history of superb poses , personalities etc and have always made figures that express the drama of that war. As for the WW1 range I just think these latest Brits are so evocative of 1st July 1916 that I have to have them, will spend the next year building up a sizeable force before creating a dio especially for them.
