Dear all,

I would like to commend Giles Brown of Dorset Soldiers for sending me a replacement pkg without hesitation when I queried the order. This is first class service and, of course, his castings are just perfect for my projects.

I can thoroughly reccomend Giles for his first class mail order, knowlege of toy soldiers, and being able to make spares you want, and also expand his extensive catalogue of figures and parts.

I have been delaing with him for about 12 years, as have many of my customers whom I paint castings for. They ask him for suggestions to fit a particular regiment, pose and uniform, and comes up with the goods.

They pay for the castings which he posts to me, and I return the completed painted figures to the happy collector.

That´s right. Giles makes every effort to meet customer wishes. For me he made - on base of his "European Wars" range the prussian jagers to german marines 1914 (Western front) in their blue uniforms and reet-green shakos. No other manufacturer do this currently- as far as I know.
Great.
Although the figures have a more toy apperancein contrast to Beau Geste, Tradition etc. the customer has a lot of possibilities of varaitions to build his "own" WW1 variations.
I am thinking about to expand in this range for my WW1 collection, because the possibilities are infinite.

I agree wholeheartedly with everything said so far. I would say that about half of my modest collection - mostly painted by myself - come from Dorset Soldiers. Customers can browse an extensive online catalogue - and dream up their own ideas - which can be e-mailed to Giles - who usually comes up with "can do" answers.

All at castings prices, of course - which start at around £3.30 for an unpainted figure from him - which is a refreshing change from quite a lot of other manufacturers, who simply either DO NOT make unpainted versions of their products - or charge a lot more than that for unpainted castings. Sometimes an extra 200+% Makes you think - does that!

I just love 'em - as they frequently go back to the roots of the Toy Soldier hobby - and in Glossy TS - can be quite often - simply superb.

I can thoroughly recommend this maker/supplier. Johnnybach
