Hey Guys,

Hope everyone is doing well.
For you 'Nam fans out there, I recently had the opportunity to meet actor Kevyn Major Howard who played Rafterman in the 1987 movie, Full Metal Jacket. He is a great guy! Humble, nice, and appreciative of those who served, Kevyn played in numerous movies and television series over the years.

I recall seeing Full Metal Jacket back in the 80s, but honestly could not remember many of the scenes and actors. Watching a few of the more iconic clips on YouTube recently, including the famous scene with Miss Papillon, and meeting the real 'Rafterman', it inspired me to create this little shadow box vignette:

Rafterman and Full Metal Joker are some great figures by K&C that I've only come to really appreciate recently. It's nice that K&C included a few of these movie-inspired figures within the Vietnam theme. I'd love to see one other addition, the Karate-kicking camera thief and driver on motorcycle from the same scene. Would make a great set!

Really great, he is holding his weapon erect, great pose, better make sure it does not go off early.

Yes weapon in hand suggests this is a dangerous place not withstanding the pretty female. Great setting. Robin.

In Viet ,,anywhere could be a dangerous place,,,Not able to remember lee ermy???? fond memories of "lillys airboune,,all the way ",,in Vung Tau,,and baby san ,,i ran on about that already,,lol

To ad another bit,,,,Teenage bromhead had a few hours off,,at a 2nd, brigade base camp stand down,,I hitchd a ride to the local ville not too far,,"Tu Duc" as opposed to One duc,,local humor,,being alone I carried the weapon ,,slung arms,,Going into the local palace ,,,
I found the place oddly empty ,,only mama san ,a few of the help and me,,I bought a bottle of "rum",,to take home and in a moment or two a Large hand gripped my shoulder,,I looked up to see a !st MP Sargent, who asked me ,"was the bottle mine?,,no says I,,He asked "did I know the place was off limits?' again of course not,,,they arrested me,,took my weapon and took me to the Lockup,,a tent surrounded by wire,,
They called the company to come and get me,,with a summons to punish me of course,,The company clerk a chicago friend ,arrived with a couple of other fools in stitches of course,,my prisoner notice he took care of,,best of all the tale gets better and funnier every year,,
and yeah it sounds nuts to do that by myself,,,
