I picked up Tamiya's British stretcher party with the intent of customizing the figures and finally decided to work up a member of the Navy's "Junk Force" that saw action along the coastal areas of Vietnam. The figure I chose was the fellow at the foot of the stretcher, with his right arm swapped for that of the officer figure. I used a Colt Commando from Dragon's M-16/AR-15 Family set, although an M-1 carbine would probably work nicely as well. After several botched attempts on other figures, I managed to lay down a decent tiger stripe pattern and (with some stroke of crazy luck) actually got the badge to somewhat resemble the real thing.
