Hi Guys,

Among our upcoming ‘Vietnam’ releases is this little 3-man set of Viet Cong figures together with a small ‘VC Sampan’…

Beginning in the early 1960s the VC or ‘Charlie’, as some US troops called them, came to dominate large areas of the Mekong Delta.

They used the myriad of waterways and canals to ferry men, munitions and supplies all over the area in order to attack the U.S. and ARVN troops stationed there.

Soon the Allied forces would introduce their own ‘Brown Water Navy’ of all kinds of patrol craft to interdict this water-borne river traffic and make life much more difficult and dangerous for their Viet Cong enemies.

In the meantime however the occasional Viet Cong Sampan continues to go about their work, always on the alert for any patrolling Americans!

These two sets are scheduled for release this September.

Hope you like them and… have a great weekend!
Andy

These have emerged from the jungle as a somewhat of a surprise. They will bolster the forces next month. Cheers Andy. Robin.

Andy...they are cool!!!

Scott

They do look excellent and will add value to anyone's Vietnam diorama.

I think that Andy has taken some 'inspiration' from the diorama that Howard had setup at the K&C Dinner in July 2019, when he had these two sampans floating in a rice paddy !!

I think I painted the 'black pyjamas' on the 'skipper' of the vessel for Howard, as he was originally from SoHK.

Hi John,
I was indeed ‘inspired’ by Howard’s amazing dio and your ‘conversion’ of the Sampan Cox’n into a VC irregular.
As I’ve said oft times before…Many of K&C’’s best ideas have come directly from our own enthusiastic and creative collectors all over the world including more than a few from ‘down under’!

Another major factor and source of ideas and suggestions is a great toy soldier forum such as this one…For the life of me I cannot understand why most manufacturers don’t engage more with the guys who take the time and trouble to participate and provide us all with their imagination and inspiration in their own displays and dioramas.

Anyway, thankyou Guys for your continued support, enthusiasm and thoughts…
All the best,
Andy.

Awesome...This will be an outstanding addition to the line...and my collection

Yep these VC figures look excellent :salute::

Great poses and would look even better as US and Aussies troops !:wink2:

It would be interesting to see in a near future, some small US Navy Patrol boats that were used to watch the Mekong Delta too....

Menacing... The stuff that makes great diorama story telling.

I must say, nothing that a Gun Truck with quad 50mm's couldn't dispatch quickly.
