I enjoyed it last night. Highly recommended. I also just finished "Hitler's Warriors The Final Battles of Hitler's Private Bodyguard, 1944-1945" by Charles Whiting a terrific book full of interesting insights. A very interesting quick read. I am now working on "Fuhrerhauptquartier Wolfschanze 1940-1945 Zeitgeschichte in Farbe" Yes it is in German, and no I don't read German!
It does however contain the most terrific Color photos of the top leadership and very little text. It also contains an english translation for all the color plates.
The book is worth the purchase price for the picture on pages 132-133. It is a photo of Albert Speer & Hitler looking at "Dora" the largest gun ever built. It was used in 1942 against Sevastopol. It fired a 7 ton shell 38 kilometers!
Now that would really be something for Andy to re-create!
