Dragon Expo Atlanta (1 Viewer)

Yes I'm going to go over on Saturday its only a few miles from my home.
I see that a few of the dealers are going to be there, I'm hoping there will be some retired King and Country pieces.
We only have one show here in Atlanta which is in February, so I'm certainly ready!

We expect to get a full report from you on Sunday about the show. Let us know if it was worth it. :)

Njja email me at my other email address if you want to meet up.I'll be heading there sat. myself....

Well the report is that if you were there for K&C retired items, not good.Njja was there on Friday and didn't find anything and there was, I think two dealers with some of the newer K&C sets.Hobby Bunker and I can't remember the other.I did get to see the new paratroopers and Russian sets in person which was nice.I did notice the Fall of Berlin Germans seem to have a little more glossy look to them.
Now if you were there for 1/6 scale holy crap. There was a $1200 King Tiger there. Some of the diorama's were amazing and they did have a modeler's room with just about everything in it.There was a huge diorama model of a rail gun that is just hard to explain.I did get some pic's and will try and send them to someone to post if it interests anyone.Prices on the special Expo releases are double on ebay right now.The Huber 1/72 Dragon armour tank which sold to dealers for around $10-12 was selling when I left for $150 and thats if you could find one.I lucked out and got one for $50(paid to much I know) but got it signed by Mr Huber so it was worth it.
All and all I spent money I didn't have but it was fun.Its kind of a warm up for OTSN in a way.Yes you must train for the OTSN show.Walking around in a maze involves good sense of direction and a good map. :D

I met up with Ken Olsen who was very nice. He spent quite a few minutes answering all sorts of questions for me. I got some insight into how things sort of go together which was lots of fun and very interesting. He was also nice enough to sign a bridge I have that he designed.
The other dealer at the show was Michigan Toy Soldier which had some really nice examples of their products.
I'm not into the G.I. Joe type stuff so I wasn't to impressed with the show.
Now I don't want to annoy anyone and if I do I apologize.
I just don't see how a grown man can display a bunch of dressed up Ken dolls???
My wife is tolerent of my King and Country (alongside my large gun collection)
but if I started displaying a bunch of Ken dolls.......well that ain't happening in this lifetime.
