I was studying this undersized Cafe Storme figure and realised that the upper part was in scale with other figures but the legs were disproportionately shorter to accommodate the undersized horse. This seems to be a design feature of the mounted figures.

So I am trying an expt here. I will snip off the legs and substitute them with with spare legs. I've decided that my modified figure will be on foot.
