I just got an email from a Stalingrad researcher that an old Dustin Hoffman movie, Straw Dogs, is going to be (actually nearly finished) remade for release in 2011 (probably).

I know nothing about the old movie plot, but I was told that the main character in this rendition will be...drum roll please...an avid Stalingrad historian. I was sent some pictures of the set showing his research room inside his house, and it smacks of that very first 'Got Milk' commercial, where the kid is an avid historian on Alexander Hamilton. I can't post the pics yet, but keep an eye out for this movie

Interestingly enough, a gentlemen involved with the movie called us several months ago after having seen our figures and the Stalingrad flash trailer on our website to get advice on how to go about getting a diorama done similar to ours. He explained to me the concept that one of the characters was a stalingrad historian and they wanted a diorama similar to ours for the background of some scenes. I spoke to him at length to provide him some guidance for how best to go about it and some referrals and then haven't really thought of it again since then. When I read your post, I wondered if it could be the same movie so I went back to check his email address and sure enough, it starts with "strawdogs...@...". So I'll be very curious to see what they came up with for the movie...
