Hello All,
Let me explain a situation that I experienced recently when trying to buy 3 figures on e-bay from an Italian seller.
I contacted seller to ask about consolidating / combing postage. The answer back was positive. The seller asked me to use the Buy Now button but not move onto the purchase phase, and he would contact with price plus postage.
I had the figures already in my basket so went back a step and and tried to BUY NOW - but only 1 item appeared to register.
Through e-bay mail the seller and myself worked out what I wanted and tried again --still no luck. Seller sent a link but it was for Italian e-bay. I have fair German but no Italian. Tried the Buy Button but was asked to sign in. I was already signed in to English language version.
(I had at one stage asked the Seller to send me a PayPal request showing the items wanted.)
During this process I got special offers on the figures showing up on my e-bay English language page?
Sadly I decided the process was proving too complicated and advised the seller that I would be withdrawing for the deal . He has now contacted me asking me to send him pics of the two figures that did not register and he will bill me, does not indicate if PayPal.
The seller does have a very positive e-bay profile.

Any thoughts fellow Treefroggers?

I would request a proper accurate invoice with the 3 pieces and combined shipping...when he sends that...I would pay...only using Paypal as they will always side with the buyer...

Thanks Mike for the information/advice -- this is in line with my thinking. It is the old problem of being cautious when being from somebody for the first time and wanting the figures.
Baron --- thanks for the steer re appropriate Thread to use.

Bob...

insist on Paypal as your form of remittance...
Paypal will stand behind your satisfaction...

and don't do "friends and family" if he requests it...
Paypal will not stand behind a transaction gone bad on that form of money transfer...

My suggestion is that you purchase the one figure using a BIN and have him list the other two figures as a BIN with the shipping adjusted so that the total shipping in the two BINs come out to the actual shipping. If he’s agreeable, have him message you when he’s listed the two figures. There should be no issues then.
