Did anyone pick this up and if so what do you think of it. i was thinking of picking this up.

I got one, really like it. In fact I decided after seeing both the e-boat and K-5 gun at this years OTSN I just had to have one or the other. Sold off a few items and choose the e-boat.
I just think it is a bit more unique than the rail gun.
Displaying it is a problem, I have it on a desk and I take heat from the wife about, but I can live with that.
Was worried about any damage during shipping, it arrived with a mast broken, I repaired that, and that was the only damage.
Over all I,m very happy with the purchase.

I've see it and it is beautiful.

But not for me.

You can also buy a custom set which has waves so that it becomes like a waterline model

Does figarti make the waves too?

I think its a beauty ..was about to splash out on it , dithered a bit and then the aussie dollar crashed , making it 50% more and too expensive for me.
Think its a very unique piece and if I could choose between the railgun and the boat , would have to be the boat:cool::cool::cool:

Hi Redhugh, when did the aussie dollar crash?

I saw one displayed at Sierra Toys in CA during a biz trip and must have spent 30 minutes, moving around the e-boat, admiring it from every angle. I was almost late for my meeting (lol) as time got away from me while in their shop.
Great piece, wish I could get one.

Hi Redhugh, when did the aussie dollar crash?

well crash might be too strong a word but late last year it went from an australian dollar buying you nearly one us dollar to it now costing (today) 1.55 australian dollars to buy 1 us dollar, in other words a 50% increase in price which happened pretty much over the space of a couple of weeks:mad::mad:

I saw it at the WC last year. This boat is huge! The backdrop that was created for it had to be seen. Carlos took some real good pictures of it. You'll find it in the West Coaster show threads.

I love that display, what scale is it?
It looks like the new Italeri late war Eboat which would make it 1/35.

I've just checked and the Figarti Schnellboot measures 43" long inc the depthcharge decks, 6and1/4" wide at the midships (widest point) and 20" high from the base to the top of the mast.

The resin base depicting the boat at sea was specially made for a collector but can be made to order should you wish.

Hope that helps.
regards
Clive

Hi Clive,
I believe it's 1/35th, all compnents are readily available, it's been a while since my curiosity tracked them down, I want to say Andrea??? pricey though.

One needs to take a look at the other items on their home page. Really nice, all of it seems to 1/35.

I got my E boat. Very very nice. Detail is great! Nicely done

Congrats on the new E boat. I'll probably never own one but it is far and away my favorite piece of all time. I hope it gives you years of enjoyment.
