Hi Guys,

I know there has been some back and forth on this model and the manufacturer on another thread. I am not going to get into the history. All I can tell you is I have worked with these folks at Eagle Design for 10+ years and they have never done me wrong. Has every single thing they have made for me been perfect? No. Have they always stood by their product? Yes. They are as good as any Chinese manufacturer I have worked with, and I have worked with many over 25 years.

As some of you may know, I picked up the Del Prado line a year ago and now have about a dozen new sculpts ready to go early in 2017 under my History Works brand. I have agreed to partner with Eagle Design to bring these tanks and a number of new ones he is working on into the US. History Works will stand behind these models. As some have mentioned in the forum, these are not $200-$400 tanks so they will not be as detailed as models at those prices. What they will be is an extremely good quality model in 1/30th scale.

They will be up on Treefrog's website this week under the DelPrado/History Works section
WW15000 Eagle Design/History Works - Panzer II, Poland and France, 1939-1940 - $99.99 with free shipping
WW15001 Eagle Design/History Works - Panzer II, Afrika Korps, 1940-1942 - $99.99 with free shipping

They all have:
Metal tracks and wheels
Pivoting turret
Elevating gun
Doors and turret hatches that open and close
Movable antenna

The first batch should be with me in about 10-12 days.

Thank you,

Richard

Sounds good and look forward to your future Afv that are made

For an idea, with First Legion stating they may not make any more German halftracks, there is pent up demand for some German SdKfz 251 Halftracks. I'd recommend making the Ausf D version that has not been done in 1/30 yet.

At this price point I'd buy 3-5 German halftracks for repaint projects.

The Panzer II is nice and I look forward to the upcoming Panzer III.

Best of luck to you in this endeavor. If the tanks maintain this pricing and detail level you should be successful.

Hi Richard,

Looking forward to seeing the vehicles. Just a suggestion, how about some armored cars, such as a Daimler or Humber?
Best wishes,
Benjamin

Richard might I suggest that you publish the dimensions of these Panzers; length, width and height to assure collectors that they are a true 1/30 scale. 1/30 scale now encompasses 1/32 to 1/28 scale models. A true 1/30 scale can only be determined by measurements as many manufacturers claim their products are 1/30 when they clearly are not.

Excellent idea! Will do. Sorry for delay, took some holiday R&R and a trip to China in there as well.

Richard, Any chance of seeing a grey Stug III Ausf D short barrel assault gun in 1:30th:salute::

Hi Richard,
How about some Humber armored cars, a Crusader tank and/or some Bedford trucks?
Benjamin

I would really like to see the Del Prado figures reissued; especially the Rome and Her Enemies line.
I am reduced to scouring eBay for what little is still available. The Barbarian figures in this line are as good as the K&C Barbarians; which were very good. Plus the figure size is compatible with the K&C and Conte Barbarians. The variety is great if you are doing a Roman/Barbarian battle diorama like I am working on.

History Works brought in the Eagle Design 1/30 Panzer II and Panzer III. Restocking the Del Prado figures will probably take awhile.

A couple of versions of the Krupp Protze are due out soon is what I heard from Weido.

Then a Sd Kfz 251/D and Kubelwagon.

What "soon" means is anyone's guess. Supposedly the Protze end of July/early August. The other two by end of August or beginning September.

I have purchased Eagle Design Grey Panzer II and Panzer III:salute::.....Excellent 1:30th scale AFV products at VERY FAIR prices.....I am looking forward to the Grey Krupp Truck:salute::.......I have asked them to produce a Stug III Ausf D .....hopefully it will be produced.

Has anyone heard of any up-comming releases from Eagle Designs?? Hope to see more from this company.....I just purchased the Winter Panzer III. Very well done and reasonably priced:salute::......An Eastern Front Winter Tiger would an outstanding release:salute::
