The Eagle Design Kingtiger with the production turret and 3 color camouflage is on the Y-Weido site on Ebay for $210.00 with free shipping. The top turret and hull hatches open. Errors in the prototype seem to have been corrected in this version. The tracks are metal and the wheels, idler and sprockets are correctly located.

There already a thread on this subject which you replied to so don’t understand why you started a new thread to be honest ?

My intention was to include price and source information not cited in other posts. I thought the ED Kingtiger deserved a singular post; not comments buried in another thread on other subjects.

The ED KT is unique in 1/30 scale. Metal tracks and wheels, plus opening/closing hull hatches. The detail is excellent for this price point; which is 50% less than the last KT made in an accurate 1/30 scale. I am sure a winter version will follow this iteration and hopefully a Porsche turret version with Zimmerit!

Before we sing the Eagle King Tiger's praises, let's get it in hand and see what it actually looks like in the flesh.

While the picture of dimensions posted in the other thread gives me hope this one is a true 1/30, I'll believe it when I see it. Most of the other Eagle tanks skew more toward 1/28-1/29, so we'll have to wait and see. I'm not going to be surprised if it turns out to be like the Tiger I, i.e. much larger when placed next to a true 1/30 King Tiger and with a giant cannon barrel.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed it's actually 1/30, as it looks pretty good in the pictures. If it's actually 1/30, I'll be buying a couple to get repainted and will likely replace the FL King Tiger in my collection. Eagle can paint/weather a tank very realistically.

The Winter version of the ED Kingtiger is available at Y-Weido on Ebay. I think the white base would be ideal for repaints for those so inclined like Hunter rose and myself. No primer needed!

The big question about this ED King Tiger is the scale???? .....Is it 1:29th Scale??? or 1:30th Scale????....... If its 1:29th it will go well with the ED Tiger Tank.....If it's 1:30th It will NOT go well with the previous ED Tiger.....I am assuming it to be 1:29th scale which would be CONSISTENT with prior ED releases.....^&confuse^&confuse^&confuse......WHO KNOWS FOR SURE that is the question......I am still wondering what is the actual scale for the 88mm Flak gun....1:30th or 1:29th??????......I would like to see some photos of the 88 Flak gun next to some FL Figures.......I must assume that the flak gun is oversized as well as the King Tiger unless proven otherwise

The dimensions on the drawing posted of the ED KT indicate the scale is 1/30. Model size is: width 4.95" and length 13.3". A KT actual size is: width 147" and length 404". 147/4.95=29.7. 404/13.3=30.3 about as close to 1/30 as you will get using polystone IMO.

ED probably read the complaints about the 1/29 scale of the Tiger I and got the dimensions right on the Kingtiger. Has anyone measured the Panzer IV?
