Last fall's Chicago Show, Andy was talking in his room that night about the old factory run by a Chinese man who made the first K&C glossy figures. Andy said he made all types of figures in this Dickens type of factory in the middle of Hong Kong. These figures were imported by Stevens International in San Francisco and sold through dealers for about five bucks each. They came in a soft plastic box with the name of figures. Leadmen

Any possibility of getting some of these figures? I see some potential;)

I still see these figures at shows sometimes. I don't know if dealers still have them. They also made wwll figures. Most had one piece static poses but some had seperate weapons or axes. They are matte painted but interesting to look at together. I ordered them sometime in the 80's. Leadmen

No markings on bases. Stevens International is all I know for distributors. Here is a pic of Stadden painted figures done by Charles Stadden. His son now sculpts for Britains in England. Leadmen

Signed base by Stadden showing he personally painted figure. Leadmen

Another pic of Stevens figures and two Historex plastic kits I did. Leadmen

Leadmen are the figures all casts that you have painted yourself or did they come painted already? I think I have seen a few of these figures as unpainted casts and one or two look like casts that I picked up on ebay that I haven,t gotten around to painting yet.

Great job on the historex figures also they look real nice!!!

Tim: I ordered the metal guys in the 80's and they come painted in little boxes.Mounted I painted from kits. John
