What are the differences between the various Army, ugh (Army - a four letter word for a Navy guy), ranks that one receives in using the forum. I understand that you start out as a Private, but how many posts does it take to advance or earn your stripes? Can anyone become a General of the Army? Michael

And, what are the new Nepoleonics and when will they be released.

Yep, anyone can become a general but it will take a loooooong time, just as in real life. I think it's kind of fun to just suddenly discover you've been promoted so I won't list them all here but you need only 10 posts to move from private to private 1st class. The amount of posts between new rankings is less at the beginning, and as you rise to rankings of commissioned officers it takes longer and longer between ranks to be promoted.
Michael, you will need 200 posts to move up to staff sergeant--and you are almost there!

And no, I don't know what the new Napoleonics will be or when they will be released.

I know Brad is the ranking forum officer at first lieutenant (1,000 posts), but as a Sergeant Major, do I need to attend OCS before I get promoted to Second Lietenant, or am I taking the warrant officer route?
