Hey dudes:

Just to give every one an already known heads up: toy soldier collections and seismic events do not go well together. My collection took a freaking beating tonight(thank you sir, may I have another). Its a weird feeling to have a 5.6 magnitude quake roll right through your living room. Im just glad things came out ok:

1. Im still alive
2. Collection got roughed up, a few bent rifles but nothing major broken
3. The 85 gallon aquarium that I have held up and Im not bailing out water right now
4. Nothing like structural stability

Later dudes

Wow! I just left San Jose a day ago! To think I missed what could have been my first earth quake!

There was minor shaking in San Francisco for about 10 seconds, but fortunately most of my collection is packed away while I remodel my house. I suggest securing your figures to shelves with Tacky Wax, which is sold by most toy soldier retailers including Treefrog.:)

This is Calfiornias' Shake and Bake season. I have some interesting photos. No real damage though, I was concerned for a russian figure that I had already repaired. It survived. Naploeon Lives!

Glad to hear all is well with you guys, that's got to be unsettling, Mike:)

5.6?!!!... 5.6!!?? Use to drreeeeeeeam of 5.6! We are used to 6.2s and 6.3s in Hawkes Bay New Zealand. Quakes so big you could not physically get out of bed when one hit at night cos the bed was moving around the room so much. Ask Vandilay - they have had some 6.8s down southern New Zealand in the last week and they barely make NZ news! Try broken chimneys through rooves and every item off store shelves etc.

5.6? sheeesh... :D

Glad everyone and everything is all right, especially the fish tank. What a mess that would have been.

Boy, fires and earthquakes! I hope you California guys are all right out there.

Slight damage only. Bunch of whinners and screamers:p A couple of rifles broken . One on a Arab I just refinished:mad:
