Are there any good auctions sites out there besides Ebay? I have become very disappointed in the level of service to sellers over the past couple of years. Not necessarily the fees, which are high, but the inability to leave negative feedback for non-payment and the failure to punish buyers who don't pay. They just close their accounts and open them under another name. Paypal is also not very seller friendly. I was just wondering if there are any good alternatives out there?

I've been thinking the same thing, Larry, there's an opportunity for a rival site, since eBay has decided to move from being an online auction/flea market. I haven't found any site yet, though, that has as many participants yet as eBay did even 6 or 7 years ago.

Apparently there are some, but they haven't attracted too much attention yet.

This is how eBay gets away with the things they do. They are basically the only came in town. Didn't Amazon make an attempt at online auctions a few years ago ?

The other "ebay alternatives" tend to try to capture the entire ebay market very foolishly.

There is a website for high-end audio called audiogon.com which is successful due to its niche.

I keep telling people here that toys and toy soldiers as its own auction niche has much potential - hopefully the right person or people will listen.
