I posted this a while back without photos and then posted the photos separately. If anyone has a serious interest in these - please e-mail me with a reasonable offer and hopefully we can work it out. Thanks and please contact me if you like this set!

I also have 5 UNITED STATES MARINES in dress blues. They are Ed's Dimestore Conversions. $ 35.00 each!

In the large consignment that I recently took in there were several very interesting and not so common items. One of these is a 54mm - 28 piece United States Navy Band and a 4 piece Navy Color Party (includes 2 band members) . The Band is in white uniforms (not dress) and the Color Party is in the same uniform but blue (not dress). Ed made many Marine Corps sets for me over the years before he passed away and every one was a masterpiece. He was a very nice man, WWII Veteran and a great artist. He rarely made figures for stock as his commissions and special orders precluded him from having time to make "inventory" items. He converted many figures and sets over the years and was probably most noted for his Dime Store conversions and German figures. His 54mm figures sold for $ 25.00 each back then. I will offer the 29 piece band for $ 595.00 plus postage and the Color Party for $ 125.00 plus shipping - ir if you take both - $ 775.00. The retail value on these when you could get them made was $ 875.00. I doubt if there were more than 5 or 6 of these sets ever made.

Thanks and hope there are some Ed Burley collectors out there so I can find a good home for these Sailors.
