Editing tools disabled in the messaging editor (1 Viewer)

Is anyone else having this issue: The editing tools in the text window are disabled. Those are the controls on the tool bar at the top of the text box, that allow you to choose fonts, highlighting, insert images, etc.

The keystrokes to format text work, for example, I can hit Ctrl-B and put the text in boldface. But the icons on the tool bar are all disabled.

I noticed this after the latest forum upgrades.

Just to see if it had anything to do with the settings I have defined on my profile, I checked them. Under General Settings > Miscellaneous Options > Messaging Editor Interface, I had Standard Editor selected. On the chance that the upgrade changed this (eg, maybe reset our settings to some default values), I switched this to Enhanced Interface and saved the change. But the editing tools are still disabled.

I'm running Win7, IE8, and can't really change the OS or upgrade the browser at this time, but if it's browser-specific, it will be good to know, for other users.

Thanks in advance, prost!

I'm using Firefox and it's working ok.

Thanks, Terry, you remind me that I wanted to try it in Firefox as well. I'm running a FF session now, and they're enabled here. So, it's something between the IE8 and the forum's software.

Prost!

Must be an IE8 issue--I'm running today on a laptop with IE9 installed, and the tools are enabled in this version of the browser, too.

Prost!
