I assumed they were just a previously unkown, but plump and tasty looking duck species.
So I shot two out back in the reever, and cooked 'em up. Didnt want to...felt I....OWED it to them.
Roasted with onions, dried ancho chilis, rosemary, fennel, coriander seed, fresh dill, and "sloppy seconds taters" (baked taters, then sliced and sauteed with Bermuda onions), with my eenfamous brussel sprouts with oyster sauce.
Delish! More goose like than duck, which makes sense now.
Turns out, they are actually geese from Egypt! Pretty cool. What they are doing in my back yard, I know not.
