Britains is doing a wonderful job with their Indian Mutiny and now Ango-Zulu War sets, so I'm hoping that Richard and Ken may eventually explore the British in Egypt and the Sudan. I found the image below on the web tonight (by a Spanish military miniature maker-see his logo) showing figures from the 1882 Battle of Tel-El-Kebir. With all the current military activities in the Middle East & Africa, it would be a great time to re-visit this part of history for collectors. Simultaneous issues of examples in both glossy and matte would appeal to a wide range of collectors. I am sure that some of these will appear in the wonderful Classic Redcoats series where there is already a figure from the Anglo-Zulu war due out. Perhaps, for example, a set something along the order of the FIW Classics set.

I just now joined this forum and this is the first topic that really caught my eye. I have had precisely the same thoughts, hopes, etc...re: Britains doing some Egypt/Sudan and even 2nd Afghan figures in the style of their new VC ranges. These are some of my favorite current offerings in terms of subject matter and appearance. I find very little available from Egypt and the Sudan and especially from 2nd Afghanistan in the detailed glossy style I have come to Love.

Both matte and gloss would be a welcome addition. If I have to choose between the two I think gloss. Also because of the appeal of the Indian Mutiny series.
