This AM I received my Fokker Eindecker E-II from Tom Gunn. Boy, I wish I could post pictures because words are not adequate to do this model justice. This aircraft is a REAL beauty, painted as the aircraft of Otto Kissenberth, TGM has really nailed it. The Eindecker is not a small aircraft, being larger in both wingspan and fuselage length than the Fokker Triplane, being about the same length as the Albatros and actually have a slighty larger span than the Albatros D-III. The detail is very good, in particular the wing ribbing and the rather complicated rigging that is necessary for the flight controls are superbly done. The paint is nicely weathered along the leading edges of the wings and especially so along the fuselage sides where the pilot would mount and dismount. I find my eyes drawn to the very impressive wing crosses which are on large white fields and are just so iconic to German WW1 aircraft. Another nice detail is the headrest that was used to help the pilot steady his head while aiming the machine gun. From the detailed rotary engine to the all black rudder, this is one fine plane. All in all this is a very worthy addition to my 1/30 scale WW1 aircraft collection and I am thrilled that I was able to get one. -- Al

Here are photos from the TG website for those who may be interested. Plane is sold out, by the way.

Hi Al,
Glad you're pleased with it!
I've got a Hannover on the way to join the Rumpler. They blend in seamlessly with the JJD aircraft IMO. If it has the same stand fitting as the Rumpler, then the JJD perspex stands can be used.

This Eindecker doesn't have a stand fitting but the JJD Camel pilot fits it to a T.^&cool -- Al

Thanks, Martin. I have never spent so much on any TS related item before, and I doubt I will again, but this is an airplane I absolutely wanted and the sacrifice (price-wise) was worth it to me this one time. It is a fine model. -- Al

You can't take your money with you!:salute::

Just received the Hannover. Lovely aircraft, just a bit disappointed that it didn't have any fittings for a stand. I was going to use one of the JJD stands with it...
