Some WIP on this piece. He was General of Infantry and I will be painting him wearing the ribbon of the order of St George, although there is a painted version of him wearing a different ribbon (possibly order of St Vladimir?) which I had initially followed.

Thank you for the link on "Dmitry Sergeevich Dokhturov (1756-1816) General of Infantry"...did not know much about him.

Sounds like a man for his time.
