Hi All,

I've decided that this piece should have its own thread. The head has largely been remodelled and I've also remodelled the legs and boots.
I've substituted in a Historex sword and a sabretache.

So I've glued on the right hand and am now adding the details such as the cords, the sword and the sabretache.

Initially I thought that the straps would be largely hidden by the left arm and pelisse but since it can be seen, II've glued on decorative gilt buttons to the attachments.

I added a pin to the left shoulder to strengthen the joint. The last pic is a mockup until the final painting has been done.

Finished painting the sabretache and attached the left arm and pelisse. I also added groundwork foliage as Murat and his costume looks great in any setting.

I decided on a suitable groundwork for Murat. He is decked out in this resplendent outfit and being the dandy that he was, here he is stepping onto a floral garden.

Victor,

seems that I have one of these too .... painted with a glossy toy finish for a local collector,

Hi John,

always good to see your figures, especially the Naps!

I am using this figure to practise my conversion and painting skills. Having a fun time with the lacework here. I've just completed the details of the sleeves for the dolman and pelisse.

I've completed the final shading of the details and labelled the piece. This is finished.

It was a lot of work reconverting and correcting details on the casting. Although a good piece for trying out various techniques, it is very tedious.
