Here is the other elephant, now fitted with its own dentures. I haven't decided the period or genre for this beast yet.

I sprayed the piece with primer grey to highlight the defects.

Repairing the defects and added a lump of putty to serve as a saddle blanket.

I really had a fun and productive weekend just indulging in the hobby. Dug out this beastie and decided to do a piece on elephant logging. I saw several pics of the rope weave breast strap and sculpted that. It wasn’t difficult if y worked out the lines and dots and took 15 min.

Elephant hauling logs. Saw many pcs of this in Indochina.

I bought a couple of Schleich elephants in Japan. The heads and trunks were decapitated to make modular parts.
