Over the Christmas and New Year holidays I received the following images from a new customer over in New Zealand.

When I viewed them I was really impressed as, by having someone else use their eye and give their take on how to pose our figures, it gave them something of a new perspective.

In addition to sending the images, the person in question also send me a lovely message that simply said: "Ordered on the 23rd and dispatched, arrived in New Zealand on the 29th! Great service and great figures" :salute:: Thank you Sir. :) I hope you enjoy them too.

Malcolm.

Wonderful pictures Malcolm - thanks for sharing them with us.

So refreshing to see Belgian troops on here - and what a great set -up to showcase them in. They seem to go very well with the W Britain "The Opening Moves" Germans.

1914 is my preferred period of WW1. In conversation with Richard Walker at a London Toy Soldier Show some years ago when I was collecting "The Opening Moves" I asked him "When will the Belgians be coming out?"

His reply, more or less was: "They won't be, not enough interest"......................... I said: "How can you call it "The Opening Moves" without the Belgians"..............?

Cheers,

Roy

Thanks Roy. The images looked so good I just had to share them with everyone.

I had a similar conversation with Richard before his departure and also with Ken once he came into Britain's. Having the Belgians felt logical to me, as did early year Tommie's etc. As I have said before, if you feel passionate enough about something, go out and do it, that, along with the lack of "interesting" WW1 pieces around made me start Empire.

We have four more Belgians due out in February and a nice set piece due to arrive in time for the March show. Like all of the ranges, these will be limited to 100 and all numbered / certificated.

Best regards,

Malcolm.

Excellent displays! The Belgians rarely get the acknowledgement that they are due for their role in the beginning of the conflict, especially since the Belgian army was larger than the two corps sized BEF in 1914. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Brendan,

The real thanks should go to my customer for sending me the photos in the first place :smile2:

Here are two that we took in house to see the comparison of the next four releases with our first four. I think they work well together and blend perfectly, hope you like them.
