Just a quick note to let you all see the next set of paint masters before they go off to the factory. The lines are EM - 1501 The Royal Scots Memorial set and W1 - 1410 & W! - 1411, BEF Tommy figures lying firing & lying loading. There are more complimentary figures being sculpted currently to go with these with a release date of July onwards.

All the best, Malcolm. :salute::

Great figures! The paint job on the trews is outstanding.

Thanks Brendan, part of why we are running behind schedule for the release. I have freaked the Chinese factory out by demanding painted trews :)

Thanks for posting Malcolm, they're looking really, really good! In fact - just like the real thing..............I'm waiting patiently (ish!)

Hi Malcolm

They all look very smart.

I paint the Gordons and Black Watch kilts, and trews on the mounted officer, on the Heritage figs by hand so I empathize with your Chinese painters! They take about 5-6 applications to get them looking anything like tartan set.

Good luck with the new range.

Hi Bruce,

Thank you, smart and accurate was the desire for this range in fact, it was essential as we are paying our respects to the 1/7th Battalion that was all but wiped out in the Quintinshill Rail Disaster in May of 1915. Our contacts within the regimental associations, club, museum and the modern regiment have been so helpful.

Painting the tartan was and is the only way. Yes, there is a cost to producing this kind of quality but there is with anything of a high quality and it is that fact that we have made clear to the factory. I am just grateful that there is someone with the knowledge out there in our hobby other than myself and our master painter who can relate to and confirm this so, thanks.

Initial interest in the exclusive boxed set is very promising and we have already received requests to reserve some for our customers, and new customers also. I am confident that this set will sell out very quickly but time will tell of course.

Cheers for now and thanks again,

Malcolm. :salute::
