Hi Everyone,

Thank you to the administrators and owners of Treefrog Treasures for adding me in as a new member.

Not only am I new to the forum, but I also have the pleasure in announcing that I am the owner of a new toy soldier company, based in the UK, Empire Military Miniatures.

Over the coming weeks, I will post some images of our new ranges and keep you up to speed with developments as they take place. The company is growing at a very good rate here in the UK and we have recently completed our first LTSS, which was great by the way! We have also now committed to taking at least 2 tables at each show in 2015 and 2016. For anyone attending, these will be G2 & G3 on the ground floor.

I am very keen to hear from, chat to and listen to collectors the world over. Without us collectors (yes I am a collector as well), there would be no manufacturers so, in my opinion, I almost duty bound to engage and listen to fellow collectors / customers / interested parties.

We currently do not have any retailers or distributors. This is a deliberate act and is not in any way meant as an insult to retailers, who are the very important link for us all. The reasoning behind this action is that our figures are limited to just 100 of each and are certificated to that fact. Once they are sold through they are sold out for ever. Hopefully this will add some extra value to what we release over the years. Once we know how many collectors will need to be supplied, we can only then take a view on how many, if any, retailers we put in place. There is no point in making the ranges difficult to collect in full.

Our web page is http://www.empiremm.co.uk Please do take a look if you get chance and please, do feed back any comments to me. We also have a Facebook presence at http://www.facebook.com/empiremilitaryminiatures Again, please do feel free to enagage with me via Facebook and / or PM at any time. Finally, we have a fledgling YouTube page https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCNnz-JcVl3JkgtLl7vBGlBQ

If I can ever be of help, I will try to be. I look forward to hearing from my fellow forum members. I am off to look around now and indulge myself.

Great looking figures and welcome to the forum! Quick question though. Do you have any plans to make Napoelonic figures or First World War Canadian / British Empire troops?
Cheers,
Brendan

I just thought I would post a couple of images to show our initial range that is available and another that shows how we compare scale wise with other manufacturers.

Our figures are 58mm - 1/32 by the way.

Hi Brendan,

Thank you for the welcome and for your kind comment about our figures, that is really nice of you.

Currently we have no plans to enter the Napoleonic segment of our hobby. The two main reasons are: One, there are plenty of people producing great Napoleonic pieces and we did not set out to compete but to compliment. Secondly, we decided that rather than run before we could walk and also add pressure to cash flow, we would concentrate on two areas of conflict. WW1 and the English Civil War.

With regards to Canadian / Empire troops. We will be producing some very nice British 1914 figures in 2015 and it is my hope, once we have established interest, to cover not only the brave Canadians but also the often forgotten nations such as India, China etc. That was one of the main reasons for kicking off with the Belgian Army.

I hope that helps and gives a satisfactory answer for you.

Best wishes,

Malcolm.

Very impressed with your plans for the future (and we can never get enough English Civil War.......!)

I have just placed a "Like" on your Facebook page Malcolm, some nice pictures on there - and I will certainly visit your stand again at the next show!

I read with very great interest your mention of some "very nice British 1914 figures" to come in 2015. I feel no one has done this correctly yet............ ( in detailed Matt style)......I'd like to see: the flat peaked caps "stiff" as in all the 1914 mons/Le Cateau photos, Maxim machine guns instead of the "Vickers", Officers wearing swords..........

I'm "in" if this is the style........?

Cheers, Roy
