In line with current threads regarding Russian plastics, I have just finished painting some of the second set of figures from Engineer Basevich.
Russian Civil War, Red Army 1917-1922. A mixture of Army and Naval infantry these are the first five figures of a set of ten.

Great job on the figures Mike! I hope to find some of these at the Texas Show. Thanks for sharing with us.

Most impressive painting finish as per usual Mike! {bravo}}

Do you only paint plastics or do you have any metal figures in your collection?

That's some mighty fine painting. But why do they all look so happy?

Thanks Middleguard, These guys have just heard that their pay has been stopped, by the local NKVD Commissar !!...... all for the greater good of the party of course !

Thanks Jeff, I have almost all the metal figures made by Conte, some of which I have painted and posted on this forum. I also buy the occasional castings if they catch my eye.

Thanks Russ, they are quite nice figures however the early sets such as these do need a bit of work prior to painting as they do suffer from a lot of flash and mould marks where they were attached to spru's. The later sets such as the Ancient Jews and Cuban revolution are considerably better.
Have a good time at the Texas show.

Mike
