I use to order castings from M Tarrant company in England. Today I received a e-mail from that company about shipping a 2005 order.{eek3} I received the order that year and did not order any castings since. I received a pay-pal notice that they cancelled billing me yesterday for the order. Order was paid in 2005.

My question is : Is this a spoof to get to pay-pal or is Tarrants still in business?

Tarrants is still in business, he turns up at most of the London Shows.
I do know from brief discussions, that he's not a computor kind of guy.

Can't offer any more than that I'm afraid.

I emailed Peter Tarrant late last year following an email address on the website http://www.tarrantstoysoldiers.com/ and got a response back about some of his figures.

He was also listed at the last London Toy Soldier Show a month ago, so maybe try an email to Peter and ask him personally?

Thanks Guys. I did send a e-mail today. Maybe they got a 2005 order mixed up somehow? I remember I bought Montford Gatling gun with naval crew. The gun and crew is still at my buddies house waiting for him to solder the gun wheels so they roll. I think I better get it back after 5 years waiting. John

M. Tarrant is Peter's son, Mathew. Some years ago, (can't remember exactly how many,) he was operating a mail order business via Email which has now ceased. I should imagine that some computor error threw up some record from that era which got transmitted to you. Peter is still in business and presumably is still using the same PC which would explain the error. Trooper

That was Mathew's business, Peter still operates as Rank and File. Trooper
