This is a great series ESPN runs, the pick different themes and stories and expands on them, some of them have been incredible, the 85 Bears, "Survive and Advance', the story of the NC State team that won the NCAA Mens basketball tournament, the Bills teams that lost four strait Super Bowls, the miracle on ice, on and on they go.

I caught the most recent one tonight, it was the story of the Duke Lacrosse team where three of it's players were accused of sexually assaulting a woman.

The university was outraged, the media ran with the story, it became a giant witch hunt led by this total and I mean TOTAL POS DA who just happened to be running for office at the time, he and the police twisted the "evidence" and brought in their own DNA evidence "expert" to refute the states findings that none of the players DNA was present.

This DA railroaded three kids and tried to make a name for himself; won't go into anymore details than that for any of you not familiar with the case.

It was riveting to watch, got choked up several times.

Just another example about how the criminal justice system in this country is one big, giant broken toilet; makes me sick to my stomach and scared to death I'll be on the wrong end of one of these situations someday.

It is a terrific series. The 'Miracle on Ice' is my all time favorite sports story, followed closely by Jimmy V's underdog NC State team beating those 'Phi Slamma Jamma' phonies. And that Duke story is a true travesty. These stories are well worth the time to watch. -- Al

There were a number of *** moments in the Duke Lacrosse episode, the biggest one was when the police and the DA did the line up for the victim; it was composed of the entire Duke team, all 40 kids, no one else, which is illegal.

As one of the kids lawyers said "Here is the Duke team; pick out three and we'll charge them"....................the lawyers for those kids are heroes, they are shining examples of how good, dedicated lawyers are so important today with a criminal justice system that is flawed.

If it weren't for those lawyers, those kids would probably be in prison.....................

That was quite good. I almost balked at watching it when I saw it was two hours, but glad I didn't.

Just watched the "Miracle" story on Netflix. ...Interesting that it was done from the Russian team's perspective. Slava Fetisov has to be one of the best players the game has ever had, but he doesn't get the press that Gordie Howe or Wayne Gretzky got for the records they broke/set.

The Buffalo Bills...that period of my life was like being in an abusive relationship.

It's funny how lawyers are the butt of everyone's jokes, but when you are the victim of an injustice, we are the only ones you can turn to for help. There are, unfortunately, plenty of lawyers who deserve to be the butt of jokes, but the lawyers for the Duke players really prevented a travesty of justice.
