I was eying this 2 volume set for a few years and decided to pull the trigger last year at Cold Harbor. It is called Henrico County-Field of Honor by Louis Manarin. It is outstanding. It covers the actions in Henrico County (Near Richmond). It includes Fair Oaks and the 7 days battles (1862) in volume 1. In volume 2 it covers the fighting in 1864 and a very impressive chapter on 2nd Deep Bottom.
The two volumes cover 976 pages. the maps are in color and numerous. They have a lot of illustrations (a fair amount from B & L) and as well as period photos and some post war photo's taken in the 1880's.
And these are not normal size books. They are slightly larger. I would say magazine size. So these are big books with lots of reading.
I am not sure if these are available on Amazon. If not. I am sure the county would have some copies left.
Honestly, I have a lot of Civil War books. And this 2 volume set is one of the best. Especially the maps. I like the color maps and they are detailed. Most by Regiment.
You won't be disappointed
