As you are probably aware movie is about Moses and him leading the Hebrews out of Egypt.
I think showing in Australia before UK and USA.
Christopher Bale does a good job as Moses and Joel Edgerton is Rameses. Battle of Kadesh is depicted at the start of the movie although really just shown as a chariot charge against a surprised enemy.
Good special effects showing Ancient Egypt and slaves working on massive building sites etc. Naturally the plagues feature quite heavily and clearly Ramses is a bit slow on the uptake to work out what is good for him.
Not something I was particularly interested to see but went as knew my wife would like it. There were some parts where she commented that it was not how she understood the Moses story. I think she prefers a more traditional approach to the story but obviously for a big budget movie they add a bit more drama and action which I guess is too be expected.
It is one of those movies where everybody knows the ending so nothing much in the way of drama or suspense.
I would rate it as only average but if you like big budget movies and the Moses story then don't let my comments put you off seeing it.
