There are rarities and there are rarities. Back in 1987 or '88 I bought these 3 sets of Zulu War 24th Foot from K&C. They still have their original green K&C boxes (marked w/set numbers "Z.W.3", "Z.W.4" and "Z.W.9" - one of the boxes is worn, see photo). The molds, however, are Frontline Figures. 18 figures: 4 kneeling firing, 4 standing firing, 2 at ready, 2 fighting with rifle butt, 2 bayoneting sideways, 2 lunging w/bayonet (1 with missing bayonet), 1 recoiling wounded, 1 lying dead + separate rifle, separate helmet, 6 individual mealie bags. It's a beautiful set and an exraordinary (and possibly unique???) example of both K&C and Frontline history and craftsmanship. However, economics dictate that it's time to say farewell...so, I'm thinking that $420 ($140 a set) ought to be a fair price. If you agree (or if you have a differnt view), PM me.
