I've noticed from time to time that members have researched their family members service history. My Great uncles fought in the Pacific and in Europe during the war. My grandmother often told me stories about them when I was younger but lately her memory is fading a little. My great uncles are all dead now and I would like to investigate their service records and history if possible. Does anyone know of a web site or such to help in this endeavor?
Thanks Sage

Hi Sage,

Just so happens I have been doing a little looking into this subject. Go to:

www.archives.gov

This is NARA they have a place that will tell you everything you need to do to get a copy of a family members service record. They should have something. If you know what units they were in you can research in google with the unit (ie) 2nd Armored Division better would be Company C 1st Battalion 35th Infantry Regiment.
The more info you have the better the search results. Good Luck and I hope you can find some thing out.

Dave
