Hi
I went with my wife to see FAR FROM THE MADDING CROWD at the Cinema recently. The current movie has Sergeant Troy in a late Victorian British Heavy Dragoon uniform (as the fictitional 11th Dragoons). It was a good movie, but I prefer the original one made in 1967 with Julie Christie and Terence Stamp as Sergeant Troy. I had a look on the net at photos of Terence Stamp as Sgt Troy and noted that his Dragoon uniform was much earlier from the pre Crimean maybe 1830's period.
The reason is that I fancy making a model of the 1830's Sgt Troy and wondered if anyone has come across this period figure or similar that I could convert. The only one I can think of is the old 60mm Cherilea pre Crimean period British Life Guard figure stood with his hand resting on top of his sword.
Any guidance appreciated.
Regards
Dave
