I'm going with "Animal Crackers" by the Marx Brothers. BTW: by some strange coincidence Oscar Shaw - the lead in another Marx Brothers movie - is buried in the Gettysburg cemetery.

Anything with Laurel and Hardy or Charlie Chaplin is a close runner up. "Sons of the Desert" is a hoot.

Marx Bros. are indeed great. I have a statuette of Groucho in my study! I'm partial to A Day at the Races and the great Duck Soup.

Dr. Strangelove and Bananas are up there as well. Great idea for a thread.

I can't get enough of "It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World". It stars and cameos most of the big comedians of the 50's and 60's. Mike

Caddy Shack and National Lamphoons Vacation, the first one.

I,ll have to go with the Holy Grail! It,s just a flesh wound!:p CLASSIC!

Brad- Post a picture. Andrea does a great Groucho and Chaplin figure in 54mm but their picture is too large to post.

"Young Frankenstein" and the original "In Laws" with Peter Falk and Allen Arkin are the two funniest movies ever made. The funniest recent movie is "Hot Fuzz".

Doug,

Here is the great man himself, surrounded by his favorite book:D I've had Groucho since college (1973) and still in great shape (couple of knocks). He's about 20 inches high. Can't remember who made him but I remember them making Chico, Harpo, Chaplain and several other movie stars.

Thanks Brad. I could watch the Marx Brothers every day and never get tired of those guys. My five year old gets a kick out of the early silent films with Chaplin and Laurel and Hardy. Mostly slapstick stuff, but it is interesting that it still holds her interest.

Hammer: Now here is a little peninsula and here is a viaduct leading over to the mainland.
Chico: Why a duck?

Monty Pythons Holy Grail,Airplane and the Naked gun films.:)
