Hi,
In a shameless copy of the similar K&C thread, what are people's favorite WBritain figures/sets, new or old? Here are my top 6 (I will try to find pictures asap):

A very cool pose, he is great as a witness to a cannon blast, or a deserter, or calling up the rest of his platoon.

The sculpting is just very nice- one of those ones that is just perfect.

Again, very nice sculpting, unusual poses, great uniforms (that are often not depicted), great subject.

I mean it's a camel stretcher! What not to say! The others are also great....

Very nice pose, really embodies the 'Rifles' spirit. I really want the little dog named rifle to be following this guy into battle.

Nothing wrong with "copycatting" :)

My favortite is the Army Ranger 2002 that they recently released and my wife grabbed me for my birthday. Also a fan of the British Stretcher bearer set- modern, though that camel litter bearer you posted is super cool.

Hi Guys,

There are so many great figures it is very difficult to pick my favorite. But here goes. Modern era I am all about the Crimean Line they produce for the collectors club.

All things Durbar in Glossy

Vintage has to be the Lancer Officer turned to his side in the saddle.

Good choices (I love those new Thin Red Line figures- have them all). But which Durbar figure (or three) is/are your favorite(s)?

This is currently my favorite figure, but the choice changes all the time :wink2: :)

Take a look at Pages 36 and 37 of the 2010 WB Collection catalog: Portrayed is eight dismounted ACW Union Cavalry figurines including six new rollouts, a holdover from 2009 and a splendid Collectors Club Exclusive Officer. The eight figures depicted are portrayed with incredible originality, variation and realism. It is the personification of Ken Osen's terrific sculpture: historically accurate, extremely understated and spot on in its colors, weaponry, plausibility and execution. They are definetely my favorite WB figures. I hope they can duplicate this effort with some Confederates of the same branch and depiction later this year.

Hi Sandor,

I am a big fan of the glossy Durbar and collect it from several makers but for the Britains issue my favorites are the 1st Elephant set 8848 Imperial Durbar, The Band of the 17th Purbiahs, and the Mounted Officer of the Viceroys Body Guard.63.jpg71.jpg79.jpg

These are my favorites for the Glossy line but I really enjoy the whole display as well as all the Beau Geste and Marlborough figures I have as well I will be really happy once I can display them in one space again.
