Is there any way we can have some sets set up as if they are defending a fort , IE ... no packs on , shooting , marching ,running to their post , also is there any dead figures , or another set showing being shot, or falling back after being shot .... in the works ???????

Tommy

okay...hahaha...if you're taking requests...

I would like an:

"at attention"...an "at ease"...or a "sentry" figure set...

a "running with rifle" figure...

perhaps a figure carrying a crate or barrel...definitely a non-combat pose more suited for a fort...

but if push comes to shove...

I am more anxious to see you developing the Taureg contingent...

Yes we do have some more firing Legionnaires coming without backpacks and also a couple of dead guys as well. The series will keep running and running don't worry and please keep sending in the ideas we appreciate all of them!
Kind regards Vicki

This is a “nostalgia series” for me. As a kid I collected the legionnaires that were made as part of the Britains Deetail line. I love what Thomas Gun is doing with them and can’t wait to see what comes out next.

Really like collecting vignettes within a series, hoping for a mule train with a broken down gun or the like. Endless foot figures in different poses can only go so far. Robin.

I swear that the second I see they have released a mule train with a disassembled gun, I will begin to giggle like a little girl.

Ok, a mule train with a disassembled gun is going to be tough to top in the suggestion department.

Hi Vicki,
Given that TGM has recently rolled out the St. Etienne heavy machinegun group, what about some pack animals for the ever last March or Die supply column.
I have them in 1.32 from scalelink and take the liberty to add some pics here as an idea.....who knows you may come up with something....:salute::{sm4}I have many more pics of the column and other FFL dios ( defending a fort, preparing to repel an attack at an oasis, defending an outpost in the desert and a marching column at the public album called French Foreign Legion. It is a public album which is not focused on a specific manufacturer or style so feel free to drop notes and pics in it, as long as FFL related it is more than welcome and can be enjoyed by all those that have the FFL as one of their most dear collection segments.....
GREAT that TGM chose to tackle this segment ....FFL like the ones you are now making available were never there....keep it up...as a FFL fan I love to see them....

Hi all,

Just saw a mail sent by Vicki Lucas ( Gunn Marketing Manager ) and they are asking us all amongst other things who would be interested in a French Foreign Legion Fort....If they get enough interested parties one will be offered......
I have already said YEAH.....If you are keen on giving your FFL a decent depot from which to march out or to defend from the Tuaregs.......send her a note.....

Cheers

I am very happy that a two year old projct that I started with Obee is now concluded!....This new fantastic set started as an idea after Obee finished assembling a fantastic French Foreign Legion garrison...and me having read in excess of ten books, between reference and novels on FFL, visited some of their forts in Morrocco and come back home crazy for all FFL related ideas .........Then I went out and started scavanging for the necessary sets to build a FFL 75 battery, like the ones the FFL used in the Atlas Mountain campaigns ( Morrocco ). It was not an easy task source the parts and I have to say a lot of luck ...to be in the Market looking for the artillery pieces at the same time these rare sets were being offered around.....Parts came for the UK, USA, France and Belgium...were sent to Down Under and master Obee gave them life....:salute:::cool::salute::
Then came the detailed research as to artillery pieces, uniforms of the soldiers and officers, the way they would sit on the guns, man the different positions loading, priming the ammunition, the ammo cassions and set up of what a gun section would look like, we used dozens of French Army period photographs....and now these sets are now here, firing the last salvo before onboarding a troopship to cross the seas to their final home in the Tropics.....
Thanks a lot Obee...:salute:::salute::
Cheers

Beautiful sets, Luiz. Doesn't get any better than fully crewed French 75's. ^&grin -- Al
