I realise I'm way out on a limb with this one since the War providing context for Fido is (as yet) fictitious -The Zombie War,this film starring Billy Connolly (brilliant imo) is one of the funniest and unexpectedly heartwarming films of late and my No. 1 Zombie flick to date.:D,o.

I rather liked Connolly in one of my favorite Creighton books turned to movies, Timeline. As usual, the book was better but the film was under rated. I am really not a Zombie movie fan but does this one have any thing other than the standard grotesque zombie hordes chasing, slaughtering and being slaughtered by the hero? Is Fido the movie name?

:D Yes,Spitfrnd Connolly is amazing in this-especially considering he has (as a zombie) no lines aside from a surprisingly articulate array of growls. The setting is post-war,the slaughter minimal -even within the stabilised safe zones people occasionaly die and failing appropriate funeral arrangements, become zombies. The tone is '50s golden era-with people maintaining zombies as servants, pets etc..Fido is the name ,comedy & social satire the game. This is NOT a low-budget B Movie.o.
