Just thought it would be neat to add a naval craft to this series as it reflects Operation Dynamo. Would be cool to see a merchant marine craft, a RNLI life boat, or a British destroyer. I dont know if K&C has ever done a full on "boat" but I know theyve done some landing craft. This is just a suggestion that would cater incredible well to my existing diorama.

I think thats a very good idea actually.Even a small craft from Dunkirk would be most welcome. We have the smallest craft that took part in the operation at the IWM, 'Tamzine'.Even a recreation of that would be cool.

I am currently reading Fight to the Last Man, about the 1940 campaign but primarily about Dunkirk and a French tank, Somua S-35, is mentioned, which might be a good candidate for a future FOB release.

Thats a smart looking little Tank.I'd take one of those.

I agree, that thing is pretty tight. It would look good next to the Char.

I really like this Tank. However, generally i don't much care for Italian,French or Japenese tanks.I don't know why.Its mainly German and Allied Tanks i prefer.

The picture that Brad put up looks a lot like the newly released renault. Does anybody know if theyre the same thing or similar?

They appear to be different tanks, albeit a little similar.

:D No i think its because they are generally small and don't have the power or fame of their larger cousins.I like all tanks however.I also like Hobarts funnies, fascinating stuff.

I was thinking the same thing. The shape of the hull is very similar.

I recall reading somewhere that the US M3 and M4 were actually developed along the lines of French tanks ... the M3 is very like the Char B with its hull mounted main gun and the M4 following the Somua. Remember that the US has a close relationship with French tank development after WWI and were using the Renault 5. The famous photo of Patton comes to mind.

What do you think ... any grain of truth in that?

I don't know about tanks, but for whatever reason (maybe our relationship with them during the revolutionary war) historically the U.S. Army tended to model its uniforms on French Army Uniforms. Just take a look at our Civil War Uniforms, and compare them to contemporaneous French Uniforms.

Its because Americans LOVE....wait for it....wait for it........

NAPOLEON !

Sorry couldnt resist :D :D :D
