Figarti factory open Sunday? (1 Viewer)

Hey...I've heard that it's possible to visit the Figarti factory/showroom/store. I've found myself unexpectedly in Shanghai this weekend, with a free day Sunday. I'm wondering if the factory is open this weekend, and if so. How I might arrange a visit or tour.

Apologies for doing this on the public forum, but getting on the Internet has been a challenge in China and I can't seem to work PM.

As far as I know they're closed on Sundays.

I would doubt it. In addition, the factory is about 40 minutes outside of cental Shanghai, if you can say there's a center as the city is so huge; I've never seen one like it. At any rate, a driver had to take us there.

Hey everyone - thanks for your answers. Just got back from a wonderful trip to China - saw Beijing, Xi'An and Shanghai. All amazing places and I highly recommend a visit there. Aside from the history, you need to see the pace of growth and modernization to believe it.

You can see why labor costs are going up as the standard of living rises. I hope that TS manufacturers can make up for it by creating a market for toy soldiers there. One thing I'll say - The Chinese love their People's Liberation Army.

I would have loved to see the famed Figarti factory, but even if it wasn't Sunday I would not have been able to do it. Shanghai is, as Brad said, huge, and I think I would have missed almost a huge chunk of it had I headed out into "the country".
