Panzers preparing to embark for Budapest at a rail head in Austria late 1944. The Austrian Krokodile heavy freight locomotive was built by SLM Switzerland and was also in Austrian service. The Panther G and Jagdpanzer IV/70V are by Figarti. The Locomotive is 1 gauge by Marklin.

The photos show the size relationship between a heavy freight locomotive and the Panzers it will transport to the Ostfront. The Krokodile 13254 named Zurich is currently on display at the Swiss Transport Museum in Luzern Switzerland.

Awesome loco Kat and your right, the size ratio between it and the tanks is near on perfect.

I stood next to 13254 last time I was in Luzern. Huge machine, 2400 HP. designed specifically for the Gottard pass route from Luzern to Northern Italy. Articulated in 3 sections to handle the tight curves needed to climb up to the summit. I won this model on a German Ebay auction. Marklin still makes them along with several electric and steam locomotives in 1 Gauge; expensive but very nicly detailed IMO.
