Rick I was wondering as you've started on specialized Tanks,how about this little baby,she's on show just behind one of the British beaches in Normandy,would make for another fine release:cool:

If your going to make a Churchill tank then it got to be the Churchill Crocodile aka flame thrower tank :D

There are only a few common Sherman Specials left. The Flail, calliope, and swimming sherman. There are lots of Churchills to do - crockodile, fascene etc,

Thats right,and we know the Flail is on the way.It would be good if Figarti started on the Churchills next.:cool:

What a coincidence, I'm in the midst of reading Anthony Beevor's new book 'D-Day' and he discusses the impact the Avre tanks had on assaulting fixed positions -frankly, I'd never heard of them prior.

Yes they did have a big impact, especially for the Brits and Canadians who had both Churchill and Sherman specials. But for whatever reasons, the Americans did not make as much use of them at first. And their hedgerow cutting tanks were thought of in the field and field built.
