Fellow King and Country Collectors, I finally received my FJ01 today..Maybe not worldchanging news for the most of you(all I think) but I was looking for that set for six years. And thanks to ebay I bought it a couple weeks ago from someone in Louisville who shipped it to Belgium and so I took it out of the package and stared over it for about an half an hour.. Mint condition. Perfect.. Now my German Para's are complete, so I can focus on Allied reinforcements..:D

Just wanted to let you know..

I think maybe Ranger is talking about the original FJ releases and not last years sets.Congrats on your purchase,i know how it feels to get that set you been waiting so long for.:)

Nice one!

I know how you feel about completing the series. I still need to get this one (if one comes up at the right price). The first series FJs are some of my favourites. Glad you got it in one piece.

Yes i think you and James are the FJ kings, between you both you have enough to take and hold Crete again.Don't though will you, that would be very naughty and we'd have to stop your pocket money!;)

I'd only make it as far as the first beach bar, then I'd be getting tanked up on Ouzo, and so the invasion would rapidly lose momentum and cohesion.

Could top up the tan whilst waiting to be captured though. Hmmmm.......might get my knotted handkerchief out and charter a few Easyjet flights. :)

Once again you will be defeated by Britain's greatest weapon!.You'll never get your transport planes off the ground, wrong type of snow on the runway!;):D

Yep the FJ01 Schwimmwagen is the one missing from my FJ collection too but it's a bit waaay out of my price range now.
Simon and I are both waiting for the right price but i think we may be waiting a long time!!! :D

I completely understand, Ranger. Back when I was first collecting K&C, I wanted one of the resin Hanomags Andy released in 1995-1996, so I ordered one. To my chagrin, I got one of the wood Hanomags he released at the same time. It was really cool, so I kept it, but when I told Andy I wanted te resin one as well, he said only around 10-15 were made, and they were all sold out. I was after that vehicle for the longest time. Finally, less than two years ago (i.e. after around 11-12 years of fruitless searching) it showed up on ebay. I immediately contacted the seller, and made a deal to have him pull the auction and sell it to me for around twice the highest present bid. When it arrived and I unpacked it, I sat there staring at it for about 15 minutes . . . just about the most satisfying 15 minutes I ever had with clothes on . . .:D:p:D

hi ranger, i was lucky enough to stumble into andy's room in chicago the first night he was there and low and behold he had just set up these wonderful german paras along with all the new american revolution sets. i struggled with what to buy but i decided on the paras. i got all the sets except the machine gun set which i did not find until years later. so i know the feeling. i am glad you could experiance such joy

I have the schwimmwagen also. I thought it was the best sculpted piece of the early FJ series. Would be excellent rolling through a bombed out city dio. One of my favorite early pieces.
